Hiking in the middle of the Stelvio Nature Park ...

The Tibet Hut is a popular starting point for countless hikes in the Stelvio National Park. And of course, there's also a large car park for all our guests.

The Stelvio National Park is the largest historical protected area in Italy and the widest in the Alps. The national park is located in the heart of the Alps and includes dramatic peaks, lush forests, green mountain meadows and wild mountain rivers.
You can reach the Tibet Hut either via the Goldseeweg Nr. 20 from the Furkelhütte, or from the "Holy Three Fountains" via Franzenshöhe Weg Nr. 13 or 22.

The challenging Ortler Alpine path

The new “Ortler Alta Via” extends over 119.5 km and unwinds around the Stelvio National Park – from the South Tyrolean Val Venosta all the way to the Valtellina in Lombardy. The high-alpine circuit around the Ortler Group, which runs partly at an altitude of over 3,000 m, is one of the most challenging high-altitude routes in the Alps. The Ortler high-altitude trail is a demanding hiking experience for experienced mountaineers. It's divided into seven one-day stages, which can also be individually undertaken as eventful day hikes, surrounded by the rich flora and fauna of the Stelvio National Park.

In our panoramic restaurant with large sun terrace, hikers and bikers alike, can enjoy the panoramic views the Stelvio Pass has to offer, from the spectacular pass road all the way up to the Ortles massif…  all of this while enjoying the exquisite local cuisine.
The Tibet Hut is also suitable as accommodation for hikers who want to make a stopover!
